1. Introduction

GlassNote is a productivity-focused extension for YouTube. This page explains how we handle your data and what your rights are when using our Google Drive synchronization feature.

2. Data Collection

We prioritize your privacy above all else. GlassNote does not collect personal data, browsing history, or profile information for our external servers. The only data processed is:

• Notes and Timestamps: Text you type and the associated video time.
• Local Settings: Language and theme preferences.

3. Google Drive Synchronization

When you enable backup on Google Drive, the extension will request permission to access your account through the Google API. It is important to know that:

• Limited Scope: We use the drive.file scope, which means GlassNote only has access to the files it creates itself. We cannot read your other documents, photos, or private folders.
• Data Ownership: Your backups belong to you. They are saved in a specific file in your Drive account for easy restoration across different devices.
• No External Processing: Communication occurs directly between your browser and Google's servers. We do not have an intermediate database.

4. Security

All synchronization communications are encrypted via HTTPS using standard Google OAuth2 protocols. Your local notes are stored in the browser's chrome.storage.sync or chrome.storage.local.
